On Suzuki's the speed limit display is taken from a camera of speed limit sign, if it misses that an incorrect speed will be displayed.

For base vehicle problems you would normally expect a commercial vehicle garage to have a better understanding of any problems. That said I've had atrocious service from three Fiat Professional garages, two of these are no longer Fiat, and lately used a Northern Commercial run Fiat Professional garage and they were very helpful.

I brought 1l of oil to carry in van for any top ups between oil changes, that was 12 years ago and it remains untouched.

Over the years one of the big problems with these vans has been the engine earth strap, whilst it might look OK they often cause problems. I'm not sure how it would cause the problem you have, but as a matter of cause best to replace it with a quality item.

I would note that microwaves have space requirements beyond their size to allow for ventilation, the instruction manual should give minimum gaps to be allowed.

To not get a fine you would need to declare it SORNed, quite how this affects insurance I don't know.

We have had this several times in the 12 years of having present van, not once have we had to replace the thermocouple. I wiggle the connections at both ends and this fixes it for a year or so.

Yes thinking about it, that is how ours is wired as the hab electrics don't need to be on for the radio to work. Whatever, for the past 15 years there have been regular posts from people with flat vehicle batteries, so I certainly don't think increasing draw on vehicle battery is a good idea.

On wildcamping.co.uk there are several members who have replaced lead acid with lithium, in past drop in replacements haven't been 100% successful, not sure if this is still the case.

My thoughts are that any load put on the vehicle battery whilst the engine is off is a big mistake, even a low volt cutoff will just lead to more flat batteries.
A much better idea would be for Swift to dump the caravan councils outdated recommendations and allow the leisure battery to be on whilst driving so the radio can be powered by that. If German vans such as mine can do this without problems so can they.

As per Derek's post, these lights are standard Fiat fitment, if the garage doesn't know this you need to use a different garage.

It's my guess that you will have passport stamped (let us know), the reason being you only get over 90days when with your wife, if you aren't accompanied by her you are limited.

I'm not sure what inflator or van you have, but I attach the leads of our Ring900 to the jump start points on our XLWB Ducato, easy to connect and reaches all round no problem, the only irritating thing is the gauge is at wheel end and on/off is at other end.

I understand it's not for everyone, but I believe in a small van it's one of the best available, it's true that for the time someone is in shower the fridge and one end of van is not available for the other person, but how long does anyone spend in the shower. The big upsides are that the washroom is fairly large for a 'small' van, and when using the washroom you can have the entire rear (or front) of van, and when not in use it takes up a fairly small space.

Having your feet in the shower tray whilst using the toilet is common in many motorhomes, it's nothing to be worried about. Saying that our van doesn't have this arrangement, it has another which many just can't understand if they haven't used it, the shower tray is in the 'corridor' from sleeping area to living area and covered by a panel.

If it does as Onecal has posted and fines are issued then several manufacturers will be overwhelmed by legal cases.

Firstly, owning a motorhome is a lifestyle choice, and that includes those who choose to live in one (I know several people very well who choose this lifestyle).
Secondly the size and type of motorhome is another lifestyle choice, from a small VW Caddy size, right up to a 'millionaire', behemoth.
