  1. Bought one of these a year or so ago and it works fine. Look on the app and it tells you how much gas is in the cylinder. really good. Now want another as a pressie for a friend and can't find it available on the web in UK, only from USA. Anyone know where I can get one please?
  2. Pretty sure that faults on s/h and brand new m/h's are the norm. Have had no end of problems with mine and despite getting really het up over some problems, the answer seems to be, "suck it up and fix it yourself"
  3. I've found refilling my Gas it tank and Calor Tank in France and Belgium so easy. One garage I used before I bought my own adaptors, even had the right adaptors and the girl on the till came and did it for me. Ooer missus. Maybe you're overthinking this? It's not as difficult or traumatic as you think.
  4. On our Eldiss 196, to get the gas bottle in or out you have to first remove the regulator that's screwed to the rear wall and to do that need to undo the gas pipe that leads into the van so there's enough room to manhandle the bottle. The locker is a such a tight fit. I soon got fed up with the faff so bought a refillable bottle that never needs to come out
  5. Can't decide between "back to France and then where?" or, for a change trying the NC 500. So, two questions please. Firstly what's best, clockwise of anticlockwise? Some guides say there's fewer folk doing clockwise so the traffic's easier but ?? Secondly can we just wild camp in our m/h anywhere sensible or are there recommended campsites en route or restrictions? By preference I think I'd like to do clockwise starting sort of Glasgow (ish) then finishing Edinburgh for the Tattoo. We went about twenty years ago and it was brill so would like a return trip. Any advice chaps and chapesses? TIA
  6. Alternatively decant them into your stomach. See my slogan below (lol) :-D
