  1. mine was a skylight and was fairly easy to do, I'll try to take some photos tomorrow no need to do that, it's easy to do when you know how
  2. 2 of mine didn't light, checked and it was corrosion on back of bulb, used contact cleaner now all ok
  3. yes I've done it, when you want to fix the flynet to the screen slider, fold the net and shove it into the metal and then push the plastic rod? through the fold inside the metal piece to hold it there.(if you pull the canvas piece out so the metal connector is out you will see the plastic rod pushed through the ally), (hold one side of the ally piece pull the other side of the ally towards you then it will come out ). you can see the fold on your flynet sorry for my explaination but not sure how to explain it better, it is easy to do, I expect sombody could explain it better than me
  4. after being in spain for the last 26 years for 6 months at a time that has always been the case even before Br++++ but as you say it has never been enforced but since Br++++ they are now enforcing it where/if they can (find you !!) that is why we might consider registering this year, that includes my Irish wife because I know she has to register as well even being an EU citizen. on the other hand we might decide that it's all too much trouble and say sod it and just stick to the 90 days. another benifit of B+++++😩
  5. apparently if I don't cancel my residencia before I leave I will have to pay my tax in spain after 6 months
  6. My neighbour is the chief of police of Murcia and she suggested that if I apply and get residencia then cancel it before we leave, I show the paperwork showing my temporary residencia that would be enough to show that I didn't overstay. My question
  7. just received this. sorry it's a bit small but I think you will be able to read it ++
  8. thinking about if we decide to stay for up to 6 months, I think we would have to register for residency and deregister before the 6 months are up so we don't get taxed in spain, but what will happen at Calais on returning, just show the residency paperwork to show we/I are not overstayer's I can understand not stamping the PP in my case but the PP is scanned anyway so on leaving the eu they know when you entered
  9. Hi Brian, one reason why I would prefer not to have a stamp is because I'm anti Br++++ and it's the only way I can say to them is ☝️, plus we might even decide to stay longer and a stamp might cause problems on returning
  10. thanks, I've just been in contact with the tunnel ," my wife has an irish /eu passport, I have an english passport, can I go through the eu checkout at the tunnel to leave the uk and the same as return in Calais?" and got the reply " I can confirm you would be able to use either lane at border controls if you have a mix of EU and GB passport holders in the vehicle."
  11. we've thought about it but it seems so much hassel that we've decided to just do the 90 day allowance. yes we will take our marrage certificate and just in case we decide different
  12. same as me Derek, I applied on the basis of just in case but don't intend entering a clean air zone, Rouen was my only problem but until June 2024 I'm still allowed through, and with a class 4 sticker it's a waste of time anyway
  13. I understood that if the wife is an EU member and I am travelling with her neither passport does not need to be stamped leaving the UK, maybe I read wrong.
  14. 26 years of winter visits to spain pre B####t this year we're hoping to go mid Sep to mid Dec on tunnel. everything was simple before but now I need to know all paperwork needed for just under 90 days. wife has Irish passport, me, English passport, got eu cover with Comfort +green card, Ehic runs out next year so no problem, Crit'aire stickers (not much use as No 4), Angle Morts stickers, I understand as travelling with Irish wife, no need for customs to stamp my passport, so what else do I need before they jump on me, maybe a pack of snow socks for the return through France in December ? plus taking dog so getting a AHC
  15. having spent many years in Murcia, another tip if need help from an English run garage is to call TJ Auto on 0034696650430. I think they are a Fiat garage
  16. he is also mobile, will visit you if you wish
  17. if your going as far as Murcia then a fridge guy who has been very helpful in the past for me is worth contacting. Roberto Carlos, No 00344630723791 , email, talleresrc@hotmail.com
  18. we've gone over the bridge more than a dozen times and always been charged around 9 euros but the last time an arab attendant charge us 33 euros and also gave us a leaflet explaining the tolls, (you are correct with the Categorys) so we were happy to have had cheap crossings before but decided to try a different route in future, glad we did because it was a better route avoiding the Massif Central and snow at times
  19. Hi Brian thanks for your info but I'll say one thing, they all go over the millau bridge (I can't go through Millau as 4.5t) last time years ago they put the price of the bridge from 9 euros to 33 euros (going down 9 euros coming back 33 euros) so we decided to look for another way down and back, we went as far as you said on No 2 until we get to the turning to Clermont Ferrand thats where we go straight on towards Toulouse then to perpignan, not many more miles and we save fuel by not going over the Massif Central (never ending) timewise not a great deal of difference also by not paying the toll over the bridge we use less on tolls. so this year we'll be using the detour via Yevtot back onto the A 13 as usual.
  20. Thanks Brian I've traveled through Rouen about 50 times on the eastern side of the river and had planned to do so again for the last time this year but friends have gone round Rouen via Yevtot, maybe a tad longer but they found quicker and easier, only 2 big roundabouts, big wide roads etc rather than lights/roundabouts/narrow roads/much traffic, etc so I'll be going via Yevtot this year and see what it's like
  21. Hi Brian my Hymer van has a crit'air sticker of 4 but until june 2024 I can still drive through as explained before so are not currently banned 🫠
  22. I got my stickers from ebay but they show a motorhome instead of a bus or a lorry, been told they are not legal as they should have a bus or lorry on, have others used the ones with a MH on with no problem?
