having my cam belt changed in a couple weeks on my hymer B694, (2001) first changed at 60k, now 100k,
the garage first said they always change the water pump and auxiliary belt at the same time, then after checking said that as the water pump is not run by the cam belt so not sure if they will replace the water pump at the same time,
maybe I should give them a call and ask them to do the water pump as well, correct in my thinking? (hope the pump comes out easy!
many years ago on my old hymer 544 the water pump needed replacing while in Spain the Fiat garage could not withdraw the old pump out, (wheel arch in the way) short story, took 2 days with us sleeping in the garage, knackered the bearings in the gearbox trying to lever the motor over forcing the drive shaft into the gear box, drove home in 4th gear then at home had gear box out and all bearings replaced.
