The battery fuse board covers are no longer fitted by Fiat when new. I guess cost cutting. My 2009 Chausson also came with a metal bolt down cover that was not fitted on my later ones.

I read on another forum that "Tayna Batteries say: "This battery (Numax CXV30HRMF) doesn't need venting as it is sealed and has a special lid which recombines the gasses back into the battery".

I need to remove the hab door trim as the lower lock cam return spring has broken, does anyone know how I remove the trim please.
I helped a friend once with one very similar. If you push the black trim back are there screws all the way round?

Thanks for both replies and taking the time to explain, so now just to confirm i am quiet safe now to put the control switch to "D" which is space save and this will not affect my Boiler with no water in it, ?
Yes.

Set to (d) the boiler does not care if there is water in the boiler or not. If there is then a sensor would know that and the amber light would come on if the water were below 5 degrees. This is unlikely as I suspect the frost valve would have operated by then.

For Heating with drained water system set the control to space heating only and room temperature as required .
The two sections you quoted are not like for like: 'Heating without regulated water temperature' is not the same as 'Heating with drained water system'.

What position do I need to put the battery switch when on hook up please. (1995 Swift Kontiki 640). There a 3 positions. 0 in the middle, right has picture of front end of the van and a lightning symbol, left has picture of back end of van. Do I keep the switch to O when on hook up? What are the other positions for? We are new to motorhoming, but feel very frustrated with the constant little niggling issues with our choice of van. Hope someone can help. Thanks
What make/model of control unit do you have? Is it a Zig?

@rayc Can you post a screenshot or convert to a jpeg and post?
It is a pdf document so not really possible , |I am going to post a link to a description of the convertors module and will try to do a jpeg of the fuses which is what the Op wanted.

This is the Convertors socket i.e. left by Fiat / Peugeot for the convertor to pick up connections for D+, rear speakers etc.
I have a pdf description but unable to post it due to restriction on file types. Is there anything specific you wish to know?

Thank you all, will give it a check and voltage measure.
Is it going to be enough to detach the neg lead of the battery when working on it or is it needed at all to disconnect battery?Connect a jump start cable between the gearbox casing and the chassis and see what happens. No need to disconnect battery whilst doing so.

It may not be much help to you but I saw this post on the Fiat Forum. Note it says it is a 'Wella' part but think it is a 'Hella'. https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/replacing-rear-fog-lamp-in-auto-trail-scout-2007.419663/

If you fancy a break in Dorset I can recommend Hillmans in Corfe Mullen near Poole in Dorset

I can't identify it in your photo but it could possibly be the central locking antenna which looks like a wire but does not connect to anything - it is an antenna

Hi Ray,
You would be more than welcome to take advantage of the offer raised by Derek above. After the first 5 issues at £5, the subscription is then £3.99 monthly. It would be worth checking what you are paying at the moment before moving over to the new deal.
Thanks, Lucie
Lucie, many thanks. I am paying about £60 a year so it makes no sense to continue doing so. I have cancelled the original account with MMM and between us we have set up a new one for the single magazine at the Gold Ticket terms - so a considerable saving next year as the first 5 will cost £5 and thereafter £3.99 a copy.

Can you confirm this is the manual beam adjuster and not the adjustable load leveller one ?
