  1. Not been to Italy since I have had gaslow so didn't realise that Derek.
  2. The RAC say this "AdBlue is a non-toxic, non-flammable, odourless and biodegradable solution" so not sure how that fits in with it being produced by burning lots of fossil fuels John.
  3. I have to say I have never seen a manned one and have always had to use things by myself.
  4. Or France Derek though I only filled up at one non motorway station and that was in Bergerac.
  5. I wouldn't entertain the removal of my gaslow system infact I am now only able to fit one of my two bottles in my new to me MH so am going to replace them with a single but far larger one. Best thing I ever did was to get rid of 'normal' ones which are a horrendous price and nothing like as convenient.
  6. How noisy are the ones that are fixed to our vans? I doubt a stand alone unit would be as good but I have no experience of either sorry. We have two fans fitted at the foot of both of our beds that really were a god send recently and others here might think them well worth having too if like me cant afford a AC unit. My fans are run from the leisure battery and are permanent fixtures. A little noisy perhaps but just so worth having. Will the AC unit you are thinking about work without hook up or will it be 12v? We spend most of our time just roaming so rarely have any mains but we always have 12v so could always find some relief.
  7. Mine knows of roads that only it knows!
  8. I bought some (15lrs) in a Leclerc supermarket a couple of weeks ago and have had no problems and boy was it cheaper than here. I was going to buy some to bring back with me and stupidly forgot to but am intending to go to France again before too long and should be ok til then as I am not looking to go far for a while. Oh I found a 5 ltrs at about 10 euros so bought a 10 litre another time but cant recall the price but pretty sure it was a bit less.
  9. As far as I am concerned this is just another reason not to tour here in nothing but a car. In eleven years of touring several countries in europe but mainly France I have never come across anywhere that I couldn't go and even when I did find myself on a narrow bit of road there was invariably nothing coming against me or I quickly found somewhere to turn around. I have just returned from a four week tour and even after eleven years of visiting France time and time again we found ourselves in areas of outstanding beauty that generally had empty roads and aires for us to have the most relaxing time. Friends have just asked us if we would like to join them on a October trip to Scotland but we said no thankyou and will just go back to France again which will make it three times this year and quite frankly we cant wait to go.
