  1. Then please don't direct an 'overall picture' post at me as it has little to do with my post and, by being directed at me, places some onus upon me to respond to your oft-repeated opinions, lest other forum users assume that I agree with them. Regards to you too.
  2. I made no mention of differential pressure, nor DEF pump failure nor DEF crystillisation (sic) nor contaminated DEF (WETF that is) nor doing low mileage. I don't even have a Peugeot. All I've given is a short factual statement Best direct your comments to Peugeot rather than me if you are able to advise them re their service campaign. 0800 042 2422.
  3. Peugeot's service campaign (not a DVLA safety recall) is for ECU recalibration with regard to the Adblue pumping module pressure sensor. Engine oil and filter are changed so possibly there has been an unwanted side effect on DPF regenerations further down the BlueHDi exhaust line from the Adblue injection point.
  4. Yes, that would be useful to know, onecal. What contamination are we looking for and how do we detect it when buying a container of Adblue?
  5. There might be some information of use in this thread from a couple of years ago:
  6. Unlikely to have been The Clam as that is at the Old Inn itself and shares a common phone number. The only other renowned seafood restaurant that springs to mind (in an area I know well) is the Pierhouse at Port Appin, by the Lismore passenger ferry 'terminal', which is indeed at the end of a narrow-ish road and is always mobbed and often difficult to park and turn at - but the turning off of the Oban road comes after the Old Inn if travelling towards Oban so Grumpyman would have had to back-track to reach it (the Old Inn). https://pierhousehotel.co.uk/
  7. The quote from MotorhomeFun is from my own fair hand, Derek, using one of the tens of 'Fun' accounts that I've created over the years to get a few free posts and avoid paying a subscription.. To back it up here are front views of the 2.2L engine with and without dipsticks.
  8. This (picture) was our trip in Spring 2019, plus the return journey from NE Scotland to the tunnel of course. We planned to return in Autumn 2020 but Covid intervened, but hopefully will do soon. Just such a fantastic destination in a motorhome. For tolls we used a Brobizz tag from the Oresund Bridge people but the situation re ferry payments (and discounts) is fluid so I try to keep up on the German forums, but I do need a refresh. We kerbed our drinking habits only slightly; wishy-washy beer from the supermarkets and wine from the Vinmonopolet. Some things I'm not prepared to compromise on..
  9. I came across this article the other day which I found quite interesting. It claims that the 60L diesel tank chosen by some converters of the X250 to improve payload figures was in fact a 90L tank modified to present full at 60L by way of a modification to the tank breather, and that Sevel never manufactured a 60L tank. For those with a 60L tank who'd like to use the full 90L it shows how to achieve full 90L capacity. https://www.ducatoschrauber.de/tankgeber-tuning-ducato-250/?fbclid=IwAR2DCZP412ozg6bIMozs6nGj29ancdomaMnaJ__dNcUPWIc-DSLgG5h1gD0 Note that this refers to the X250 and presumably the smaller tanks fitted as standard to the X290 AdBlue models (60L for a short while, now 75L) are genuinely smaller to make for the AdBlue equipment. Or are they? Perhaps the issue is weight saving rather than space and this same modification might apply - Peugeot managed to retain the 90L as standard with AdBlue..
