briff Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 hi all just BACK FROM MOT ON LEAVING GARAGE CAMPER WOULD NOT START HAD TO PUT IN CODE TO START NOW HOME IT WILL NOT START AGAIN .HAVE TO RE CODE IT ,BOOKED IN NEXT WEEK WITH FIAT GARAGE. euroserv Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 Hello Briff, This is not a common problem so the first thing to do is to try your other keys. If the key that you left with the garage has been dropped on the floor it is possible that it is damaged and has forgotten it's code. Don't waste any money with main dealers until you have checked whether it will start with the other key. PS. Well done with obtaining your emergency start-up code! Keithl Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Hi Briff, There was a recent post on the forum about exactly this problem and I seem to remember the problem was faulty wiring of the transponder receiver around the ignition switch.
