anrw
Good morning. First post to the forum with a question which will no doubt have been aired at great length in the past - apologies. I have a Peugeot Boxer based Autocruise van conversion with a MTPLM of 3500 kg. As a 'van' it has to comply with national speed limits of 60 mph on dual carriageways and 50 mph on single carriageway roads. Is there any concession for motorcaravans to allow them the same speed limits as cars (70/60 mph)? Also what are the general rules for Europe - the same as cars or the same as vans? Keithl
Hi Anrw, In the UK it's not your MTPLM that defines your speed limits but your unladen weight. If your unladen weight is under 3050 kg then you're treated as a car, if over then you're restricted as you mentioned. Have a look at this Link and you will find the info you need. As for Europe I'm sure someone else will be along shortly to help you. By the way welcome to the forum. Keith.
