Keithl
Give us a clue, what is an 'easy tow'?
flicka
Is there a differance between this & any other "A" Frame. http://www.easy-tow.co.uk/products.htm but what damage will those chains do to the toad ? Jury is out, well not technically, as it still has to be tested in court.
Keithl
I think you will find that this a 'Recovery' A frame and as such is limited to a 20 mph speed limit and can only be used for recovering broken down vehicles. It will fall foul of the Trailer regulations in that it cannot operate the brakes on the trailer (TOAD) and as the trailer has brakes they must operate irrespective of trailer weight. I know there have been a lot of threads on this subject in the past but this A frame is very different to others mentioned as I believe it is primarily designed for recovery, irrespective of what they claim. Dave Newell
As Keith has said this is a recovery A frame and as such is severely restricted on speed. Also because the connection to the towed car is via chains and straps rather than via bolted or welded fixtures I believe a driver should be in the towed car in case of a breakaway. D.
