Guest pelmetman
We have a couple of Lafuma Chairs which we find really comfortable but also very heavy and are trying to source something similar but a lot lighter in weight has anyone got any recommendations please. I see that MMM have a section of chairs this month but nothing in there really jumps out! Sue
mirage
I assume they are the padded "relaxers" and agree they are heavy. I thought you could get a lightweight non padded version.
Mr. Grumpy
If you are going to France this year wait until you can get to a supermarket and try there. We got a light weight folding relaxer (full length) in Le Clerc for 16 euros. It's not particularly well made but will do for a few years.
Randonneur
We bought our lightweight chairs from Towsure, we also bought the footrests to match. I think they were £50 for two without the footrests. They are very light.
Keithl
Hi Dave, We bought a couple of aluminium framed reclining chairs from Aldi a year or two ago. We find they are great because they will go upright enough to eat at a table or recline for forty winks in the sun :D They are also very light! They may well have them on offer again soon when they have their spring offers so watch their website or sign up for email alerts. Keith.

Keithl
Dave, and anyone else who may be interested, Aldi have their reclining lightweight aluminium folding chairs on offer again next week starting Sunday 17th :-D :-D :-D They are £24.99 each, have a 3 year warranty and are really light and also suitable to be left outdoors. We've had ours now for 4 or maybe 5 years and have found them really good. They go upright to eat at a table or recline far enough to catch a few rays... Here is a Link for anyone interested. Keith. Minstrel
We have the towsure chairs as well, very good, but wish we hadn't bothered with the leg rests. He doesn't need or want it (long legs) and I prefer to use a footstool which doubles as a low cup and book rest.
bobalobs
Just been through the same search when we decided that our Lafuma highbacks are too heavy and bulky for our new weight conscious camping. Ended up buying Quest Traveller beach chairs which are lightweight adjustable and high enough back to rest your head. Perhaps not for the larger than average person but with a discount price on Amazon and caravan outlets of £27 theysuit us and will last a few years.
