Fine-Tuning Or Total Reconfiguration Of "Motorhome Towing A Trailer/Car" Set-Up!

The Thule supplier catalogue lists a fitting and if you ask a Thule supplier, they may be able to help.

Tanfield Towing @ Horsham, managed to get me details and a price. Cost of fitting and electrics was about £75, but subject to change because they had not fitted electrics to an IQ and may have to alter settings for the canbus system. That said, they said in all probability using their usual tow-bar relay fittings could foresee no real problem.

The link below details some detail.

As the "Not A" towbar fitting, could be altered to become a standard towball.

I found this as well http://thuleeuroclick.com/files/en/EuroClick%20Kits.pdf

It seems that our continental cousins Thule and Toyota have managed to agree that these fittings are mutually acceptable. No idea if the the respective Mr T's have agreed in the UK, But I assume that TUV rating is EU wide.

We spent the "trailer money" for the IQ on a couple of electric bikes as plan B !

Hi Frank,

Glad you got set up, yes it does take a bit of fine tuning on that model trailer,,,much ,much easer on the  Minno Max or 185 from Brian James trailers, Regarding touring Re- French sites,,,never had a problem when towing car on trailer and at the moment I might just be a bit longer than your rig,Yes sometimes the sites are tight, but no real problem as more and more are pulling small cars behind nowadays anyway, they may start charging a little more,,small price to pay for that little extra comfort.
Regards,
Brendan
