Brambles Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Pjay, do you mean the inverters? The £19.99 one is only 75 watts ( 60 cont) so is no were near powerful enough for a hair dryer. There is also a 150W at £19.99 one but again no were near powerful enough. euroserv Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Be careful. If you run an older vehicle like a Ducato pre 2002 your lighter socket will not be happy with a 10A load. We have had lots of problems and had to run separate feeds from batteries to extra sockets a few times. Later vans were ok with 10A and this is likely to be the case for other manufacturers too. You will need a serious amount of battery capacity to run this for anything more than a few minutes (maybe an hour or so) or if not then to have the engine running. Keith.
