Colin Leake
Thai is mentioned in a letter in the CC magazine. Don't bother it's rubbish. Failed to show a repeater station I can see from our bedroom window and classified the main station we use as a repeater! All you get is a map showing the location of stations with no bearings never mind actually pointing to the station. I tried to write a review but to do so the last step is to enter a nickname. No matter what you enter it will tell you the name is already in use so you can never manage to post a review. I even tried Igiveuponthisstupidy****app and it told me that was already in use as well. 747
There is a useful 'app' which has been around a long time. The Mark 1 eyeball can be used as you approach your destination. It can take note of the direction in which aerials are pointing (and also their horizontal or vertical inclination). I have successfully operated this system and it has worked whatever mobile phone I have ever owned. :D As Yogi used to say ........ "smarter than the average bear". :D
Keithl
Or use an internet site such as My Freeview and get a compass bearing to the best transmitter. I do this for sites we know we are going to and it has worked perfectly every time. Keith.
747
My system does not need an internet connection. B-)
thebishbus
Just buy a cheap LED signal strength meter, very useful when you cannot see any other aerials. Brian B.
BKen1
Just as an aside here is a site for aligning your satellite dish home or away. I know its nothing to do with freeview. There are Iphone satellite apps available also. http://www.dishpointer.com/ Brian
