Abcheetham
Thought about visiting the forthcoming show at Malvern in our new Hymer. Looked at the price....... £66 for one night, really?
Keithl
No. That price is for 3 nights. Arriving Friday and leaving Monday. So £22 per night which include evening entertainment (except main hall on Saturday) so in my books really good value. If you choose to only stay one night then that's your lookout not Warners. Keith. Abcheetham
If I stayed 3 nights I agree. But it's inflexible to only offer that. I won't be going!
Guest Had Enough
Yes, but if you could stay for one night at a much lower price, that's a pitch that would be empty for the next two days as most people go for the full three days. Presumably the organisers have calculated that to make it viable they need people to buy the whole package. So 'rip off' isn't really fair. It's actually very good value as a package, which is what's being offered. It's no different from a holiday cottage owner only renting for a whole week. If they let you have it for just the weekend then it screws up most other people who do want a full week.
antony1969
Not my cup of tea but £22 per night with entertainment .... Got to be good value
Tracker
£69 for four nights is even better value if you could stand 5 days of it! The problem would be that if they let you in on Friday for one night there would be no practical way of making sure you left before Saturday evening short of a separate enclosure and that ain't gonna happen. Warner's really don't want you arriving Saturday for one night as they want ever more out of everyone hence the charge for three nights. Their choice. Your choice, pay for 3 and enjoy, pay for 3 and lose money, go as a day visitor and use a CL CS nearby, forget it. Judging by the number of campers attending these shows for a long weekend I doubt the format will change any time soon. Nobody ever said life was fair!!
