Hobby habitation spare key blanks

Needing spare keys for my 2006 Hobby 725 I tried all my local locksmiths to no avail, none had suitable blanks..

 

An internet search indicated that the locks are made by FAP. There are blanks on E Bay at £11.95 but I found the identical blank at:

for £3.10 each plus postage (I purcased 2 and with postage it came to £10.20); they are described as 'New System FAP Grey Key Blank', however they are black and identical to the original Hobby keys. I believe they fit many other makes of motorhome.

 

I took the blanks to the key cutting booth at my local Co-op; he cut the blanks using the original key and remarked that the metal was really hard. They work perfectly.

I went to our local Timpson to see if they could help out and they found a blank in their catalogue that was the right profile. Unfortunately on trying the new keys in the lock they are about 10 thou' too thick.

It also covers FAP and many locks, handles, barrels etc. I've ordered a couple of Zadi blanks and hopefully they'll be right for my locks.

Or there is a dealer on eBay selling brand new pre cut keys by number for £10 per pair. They don't have all numbers but you may be lucky.

I discovered Thomas's 81 high st Burnham on Sea when one of my Fiamia keys broke, he stocks every Motorhome/caravan/mobile home key blank known to man and he cuts them while you wait and quite cheaply.
