Christmas thank you

This time last year I was waiting for the January arrival of my new motorhome. Eleven months and 23,000 klms later I now have an understanding of what being "on the road" is all about. Both the codriver and I absolutely love the lifestyle. We had planned to travel in OZ for 4 months of the year each year. So far we have been away from home on and off for just over 8 months. Next year will be a little less due to a planned 7 weeks in Italy.
So much for the background, what I really wanted to say was a huge thank you to all the contributors to this very stimulating forum. It is only stimulating due to the contribution you all make when you offer advice and guidance to newbies like me. It is very much appreciated. From the style of each of your responses I feel from your posts I have an understanding of your individual personalities and look forward with interest to your next offering. Every morning I log on looking for the new and interesting comments. A big thank you and a  safe & Merry Christmas to you all  from the "warm end of the world".
Looking forward to lots more stimulating topics in 2016 tempered with possibly a little humour from Rich aka Tracker.
Cheers,

Cheers Gary, Happy Christmas to you and yours too and many safe miles - or kms - to come!

Can I just say that I am far from being the only funny old bu##er on here and sometimes I really struggle to remember what stimulating is!

But this bloke seems to know!

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked

for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter.

In his highly aroused state her husband readily agreed.

This scenario was repeated each time they made

love, for more than 40 years, with him thinking that it was a

cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day, she was

surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state.

During the next few minutes, he explained that

his employer was going through a process of corporate

downsizing, and he had been let go.

It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find

another position that paid anywhere near what

he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which

showed more than forty years of steady deposits and interest totaling

nearly $1 million.

Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued

by the bank which were worth over $2 million,

and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank.

She explained that for more than

three decades she had 'charged' him for sex,

these holdings had multiplied and these were the

results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments

worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could

barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out,

'If I'd had any idea what you were doing,

I would have given you all of my business!'

That's when she shot him.

Hi Garry

Oh how that past year has flown. It doesn't seem so long ago since both you and I ordered our AutoTrail MH's and you took delivery in January. You have clocked up a lot more mileage than us but I see you have been on the road for almost 8 months, whereas we have only had about 18 weeks away !

I echo your comments about the contributors and help given on this forum - great.

Best wishes to you and yours down in OZ for Xmas and I wish you a great New Year - the same goes to all the forum members on 'Outandaboutlive'.

Have a good one. From a wet but mild South of England

Alan
