capstan55
I have a Kela II air awning but have a problem with getting the front parts of the awning to but up straight and tight to the motorhome. There is a gap of approx. 9 inches between the front sides and the van. Any advice on how to overcome this problem would be appreciated. BTW, the awning is connected to the van awning by 8 section plastic tube.
pepe63xnotuse
Hi... 'Not familiar with the awning(and obviously, 'don't know your van type) but is there enough slack/"give" in the fabric of the connecting of "tunnel" to pull it back to the van using additional guy points? (possibly http://www.clingons.co.uk/ ? ), with the guys routed across the 'screen and pegged?..or fastened back to small dent pullers? (eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diy-Am-Tech-2-inch-Mini-Suction-Cup/dp/B0036W70BG/ref=sr_1_2?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1451306806&sr=1-2&keywords=dent+pullers )

Alternatively, is there any way you could use a separate awning/fixing rail, one that doesn't impose such a large "out-set" from the van wall? I fitted an additional 'rail to the underside of the Fiamma on a previous van (photo in second post in this thread: http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Awnings-your-views-please-/34515/ )
cleddytanhouse
I also have a Kela 2 and have tried to get it close to the side of the van. It is not possible!!!! Mine is only 12 months old. The current version has zip doors in both sides of the tunnel. Not sure if this makes it any better. Mine flaps in even the slightest breeze and is annoying during the night! capstan55
Thanks for all your help peeps. Will try putting the straps over the top. Mine has doors either side too, but don`t seem to flap much.
