Tomo3090
Alan, go refillable, it's the future! It is also as easy as filling your fuel tank in Uk & France. Spain is catching up, slowly, but it will get there. No bag full of adaptors, no searching for different bottles and it's as cheap as chips! Mel B
Don't you still need adaptors for the filling stations? Just thought I'd read this somewhere, might be wrong! Cheap as chips ... chips ain't cheap anymore, unfortunately (love the with scraps on though!) (lol)
Derek Uzzell
Mel: Yes, your motorhome's LPG filling-point needs to be fitted with the adaptor appropriate to the country in which you are taking on gas. I'm led to believe there are just 3 types in use in European countries - a UK 'bayonet' type, a French/Italian type and a "Euro Adaptor" that (presumably) covers the remaining countries. Refillable systems purchased in the UK are normally marketed with the UK adaptor as part of the deal and you then choose whether or not to purchase the other adaptors. I'm not sure what the situation is in the UK, but in France there are at least 3 different designs of LPG-pump 'guns' - an eminently sensible one, a peculiarly complex one, and a push-on/push-off swine that fills me with dread whenever I come across it.
