Keithl
Hi Sharon, Basic answer is yes. When set to 12 volts the fridge should only work with the engine running. The 230 volt setting will only work when on a mains hook up and the gas setting only when your cylinder is turned on. What make and age of fridge are we talking about here please? Keith. sharon davies
off hand i dont know my partner is out gone fishing in it the motorhome is a 1999 fiat suntor 590 rs so fridge could be 17 years old it works perfectly on hookup but nothing on leisure or when engine is running. i will get the specs when he returns tomorrow. many thanks
Keithl
OK. First off the fridge will not run off the leisure battery, it will only work on 12 volts with the engine running. There should be a relay and fuse, probably near the engine battery, which control the 12 volt power to the fridge. It will likely be paired with the 'split charge' relay which controls charging of the leisure battery. You will need to find and test these fuses and relays. HTH for starters. Keith.
