Oh yeah I forgot *-) ...........I've been abusing the NHS by being in Spain (lol) .........

You know how you've abused it as it's been pointed out to you a number of times. Instead of shooting off from the hip all the time you should think about how you judge others first as you are not exactly a shining example yourself.

Kindly explain to me and anyone else who reads your codswallop, how someone who is not using the NHS is abusing it? ;-) .........

3 month rule under NHS GMSC Regulations 2004. Tell your GP how long you stay out of UK then ask him/her to enlighten you on that rule.

.

I did ;-) .......so he gave me 4 months worth of prescription :D ........

If true then i'd keep your mouth shut about that if i were you as he's in breach of regulations and knows it, so is the Pharmacist who dispensed it. I'm aware some Gp's and Pharmacists are prepared to bend/flout the rule.....many are not for obvious reasons.

Sounds just like the sort of place Bonnie 'n Clyde would feel at 'ome in.

"One 22-year-old chap, Mathew Lewis, made the local news when he erected a barrier, constructed of wheelie bins, a push chair and children’s toys, across Sea View Road, declaring it to be an “EU border crossing”. He then demanded motorists show him their British passports. When one driver failed to produce the required document and impertinently attempted to clear a path,he was assaulted."

Last year, the local Butlin’s became embroiled in a racism row after a wrestling show, aimed at children, featured a villain bearing a “Muslim flag”. The audience were encouraged to boo and hiss when he appeared on the stage and one dad tweeted: “I felt I was dropped into the middle of a Britain First rally. Out came ‘Hakim’. The Islamic flag waving baddie. ‘BOOOOO’, we were told. Then came Union flag trunk wearing ‘Tony Spitfire.’ Yes Tony Spitfire, ladies and gents. ‘En-Ger-land!’ he thumped over and over.”

Oh brother. *-)

The place looks a right dump stuck in timewarp 50's Blighty so shouldn't have any problem Brexiting. It will just stay as it is......Brexitland-by-the-sea. *-)

Its immigrants like you paying your taxes in Spain when you are well, then coming back to England to make use of the NHS when you are ill. So when you accuse immigrants in England of using the facilities we have paid taxes for, pots and kettles spring to mind *-)

PS: I suppose now you are going to say you pay income tax in England. But since politicians hit on the wheeze of reducing income tax and replacing it with stealth taxes, that only applies to a limited extent.

Income tax? 8-) ...........I haven't paid that in years even when I was working ;-) .......But I'm still paying rates on our empty property, so that's a £140 a month for sweet FA *-) .........I still pay the stealth taxes like VAT, Road Tax etc when I'm in the UK so as far as I'm concerned my moral obligations are met :D .......

I asked her how many Poles has she met? ‘None’. When I grew up in the 1950s and 60s, ‘foreigner’ was a common insult. Things changed for the better – but now we are back to what it used to be. Racism, xenophobia are the accepted norms. It’s swung back again. :-(:-(:-(

When someone places a windfarm off the coast of Sussex, Dorset, Devon or Cornwall I might be inclined to say "sorry people this is the price we all have to pay for saving the planet". Pity that it seems the people of Skegness have been encouraged to think that all their woes are due to the EU or foreigners when it is central government that has shafted them time after time.

"The European Union (EU) has put forward key elements of the climate and

energy framework for the next decade. In order to reach its climate, security

and competitiveness goals, the EU must decarbonise its energy system. The

share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix should reach at least

27 % by 2030 according to the European Council decisions from October 2014.

While this is far from ambitious, the agreement on a post-2020 renewables

target reflects the need for continued support for renewable energy sources.

A clear and stable policy framework for renewables is crucial to create

investment and investor certainty for the years to come. In the current climate

and energy framework, the EU has committed itself to increasing its

renewables share to 20 % by 2020.

This European target was then translated

into ***binding national targets***, as embedded in the 2009 Renewable Energy

Directive. Nationally binding targets were a key determinant of the growth of

renewables across Europe."

Yep I get that Dave and it's not a bad policy in my view but how our government has implemented it is adversely affecting only a certain parts of the community and so the resentment of the community in places like Skegness is understandable.

You're waffling out of your backside again Dave and just digging yourself a deeper hole.

Everyone 60 and over is entitled to free prescriptions, as are under 16s and 16-18yr olds in full time education. Psssst.......it tell's you in that NHS link. READ IT!! *-)

I get a bus pass and £200 Winter fuel payment too but don't be fooled into thinking those are "gifts" from Government for old farts, something often misunderstood by younger loons who gripe about it. It was all part of a package deal "sweetener" to keep state pensions down which are the lowest in Europe. Same as the free TV licence i get if i live till 75.....wowzer. :-(

So none of that is abuse nor is it a burden. You will get the same entitlement re free prescriptions once you reach 60.

......and who foisted all those expensive windmills on Skeg?.......Oh yeah those climate change nuppties in the EU *-) .........

You will need them windmills for yer Brexiticity........you won't be able to afford electric from Hinkley Point. Besides you won't want it as it's run by EDF. (lol)(lol)(lol)

Another nugget from Brexitland-by-the-sea. *-)

“My wife has an elderly aunt living outside Skegness in a village. She reads the Daily Mail and laps it all up. I asked her why she voted leave. ‘To get rid of all these Poles’. I asked her how many Poles has she met? ‘None’. When I grew up in the 1950s and 60s, ‘foreigner’ was a common insult. Things changed for the better – but now we are back to what it used to be. Racism, xenophobia are the accepted norms. It’s swung back again. :-(:-(:-(

The horror of it all ... Shocking to have an opinion on someone you've never met ... I wonder if same lady posted thread after thread after thread on a motorhome forum about an American President and his wife and daughter she'd never met ... It's truly appalling.

Hhmmmm..........says the joker who has plenty of opinions of Muslims he's never met !!! (lol)(lol)(lol)(lol)

Yep I get that Dave and it's not a bad policy in my view but how our government has implemented it is adversely affecting only a certain parts of the community and so the resentment of the community in places like Skegness is understandable.

Correct me if I'm wrong Bullet ;-) ......But do you get your prescriptions free?........I still have to pay for mine.......So remind me......which one of us is a burden on the NHS? >:-) ........

Everyone 60 and over gets free prescription you chump. *-)

Also under 16's and 16 - 18 in full time education.

http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcosts/Pages/Prescriptioncosts.aspx

But we're talking about being a burden on the NHS are we not? ;-)

So it appears that you're actually more of a burden than me >:-) ........

So how can I be a burden on the NHS? ;-) ........

Unless you're saying a administrative technicality places more of a burden on the NHS, than someone who queues up every month for free medication probably costing 100's of pounds a time? ;-) .......

BTW the Ramapril I take is cheaper in Spain, and no prescription is required ;-) .......The only advantage in the UK is I can get 3 months worth for one prescription charge >:-) .......

Sounds just like the sort of place Bonnie 'n Clyde would feel at 'ome in.

I don't think POTUS Donald Trump is part of a peadophile sex gang or a terrorist although if I look back over your many Trump posts I'm sure you'll have managed to link him to both vile crimes somehow fella

You've got a short memory. If you bothered to look back this was what i said, "That's a tad rich coming from someone who's knowingly been abusing the system for the past four months. You recently changed that and began using the term 'burden'......there's a big difference between the two.

Wriggle all you like but you haven't got out of it because it's not me making the rules up as i go along, it's in black and white. That your Gp and Pharmacist are prepared to ignore it doesn't excuse it and as a consequence of you remaining outside the UK for over 3 months, cease to be eligible for NHS treatment. Also your Gp should remove you off his list as a registered patient. Once again, not me making the rule up.....it's NHS (GMSC) Regulation 2004. If i were you i'd keep my mouth shut about it and count yourself lucky.

I used to treat it with similar contempt but not any longer.

We used to have clear distinctions between summer and winter with serious layers of snow every year but not any more. I'm no scientist but they have shown plenty of evidence on global warming and the shrinking polar cap.......and that's even backed up by evidence from NASA. Of course Pres Chump will claim that as "fake news". It will take a 9/11 event in the weather to wake loons like him up.....by which time it will be too late *-)
