michaelconroy
Hi my Trumatic heater works OK on gas but is very intermittent on 240v, even though the green light stays on. It's 10 years old and I suspect the pcb needs replacing. Is there anything more obvious to try? I presume the pcb will be found in the grey box fixed to the rear of the rear with a mains cable going in one side and a thinner white cable the other (presumably going to the heater control panel)? Thanks Mike
Keithl
More likely a dirty or poor connection. Try disconnecting and reconnecting all the plugs from the PCB, preferably with EHU disconnected. Also check the weight of the wires is not hanging on the plugs. Our Traumatic (sic) would occasionally not work on 230 V and I found the white control wire had a loop of cable hanging from the plug, I tied up the excess cable and it has worked perfectly ever since (touchwood). michaelconroy
Thank you Keith The connector block carrying the white cable from the control panel was ever so slightly loose, not so's you'd see it. I pushed it firmly back into place and - voilá - "heat" on 240v again. Mike
