Or you can look at the probabilities and risks and decide in advance whether you think the benefits will outweigh the disadvantages. That is what most sensible people do, because that way they can avoid undesirable outcomes. OTOH, you seem to be firmly in the territory of: "Is that a mushroom Jimmy?" "I dunno, et it and see - if you peg out it's a toadstool". Sensible? You tell me. We were born with brains so, IMO, we should use them.
