You whine that EU has "taken our jobs", yet Ford build in Mexico, Brazil and Turkey. Haven''t heard you whining about them.

As you point out Ford build in Mexico etc etc ;-) .......

Kinda proves my point .......They go where ever they'll the cheapest labor and the biggest bung *-) ...........

So we shouldn't be pandering to big business should we? :-| .........

Especially as you're a pseudo Socialist ........ ie a Communist >:-) ........

EU has nothing to do with those countries so your point is ridiculous. Ford build in Germany....hardly known for it's "cheap labour".

Not for long ;-) ..........

Germany: Ford announces massive job cuts at its Saarlouis plant

"At the same time, Ford is investing 200 million euros in Craiova, Romania, for the production of another model. The number of Ford workers in Romania is to be increased by 1,500 to 6,000. The Romanian Ford employees work under slave-like conditions with some workers earning as little as 300 euros per month. At the beginning of 2018, 4,000 workers in Craiova took strike action to prevent the imposition of a new, extortionate contract."

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2018/12/14/ford-d14.html

Who's the hypocrite now eh Bullet? >:-) ..........

You are.....and a massive one. That desperate now you turn to a Trotskyist influenced website, the politics of which you regularly vilify and condemn. That makes you one major HYPOCRITE.

Do you ever read any links you post? Silly question as we all know you look for a 'juicy' header and think that will do, but never read through.

Gunnar Herrmann, the CEO of Ford Germany, who was also present in Saarlouis, spoke at the Cologne headquarters in a general fashion about “inevitable adjustment measures” resulting from the “strict austerity measures” laid down by the company’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. “The US group will finish deep in the red in Europe in 2018,” a statement read. It also goes on to mention Brexit as a contributing factor but you wouldn't liked to have read that.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-01-10/ford-to-cut-thousands-of-jobs-in-europe-eyes-plant-closures

Oh...... so cheap labor and bungs have nothing to do with it?.........its due to Brexit (lol) (lol) (lol) .........

"Trotskyist influenced website, the politics of which you regularly vilify and condemn"

Facts are facts who ever writes them........I thought you would prefer them from your chums >:-) .......

You're a very sad desperate little fellow clutching at any straw you can find. You don't even read through any links you post and the best you can counter with is tweet like inane drivel peppered with endless emoticons.

:D ..........I take it you didn't like your anti Brexit argument being shot down AGAIN (lol) .........

All you've succeeded in "shooting down" is yourself.....reduced to making inane drivel whenever up a corner.

So your saying Labour MP's are talking inane drivel? >:-) ...........

"Roger Godsiff, Labour MP for Birmingham Hall Green, said: “It seems quite clear to me that the owners of Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors Limited India, are seeking to transfer a large part of their operations, possibly as a precursor to transferring all their operations, to a low-wage part of the EU."

Normally I would agree with you ;-) .........But Mr Godsiff is actually right 8-) ......

Ford are also cutting back and paying off.

They are not blaming Brexit and are paying off more workers in Europe than in the UK.

I wonder if JLR are cutting back at their car plant in China? *-)

JLR are reported to have closed their Chinese plant for at least 1 month.. :-(

It'll be Brexits fault according to Bullet :D .........

No, i listen to what the CEO's of the companies they run say. You refuse to because they stated Brexit has been a contributory factor which is undeniable.

As you're so keen on selectively quoting pro-Brexit Roger Godsiff MP i take it you also support his backing for a second referendum too?

I know Bullet only likes bad news and wouldn't be able to bring himself to post this :D ..........

They've already cut 5,000 jobs in UK so just need another 2,300 on top of your figure before i'll celebrate. I do find it ironic though that you're now suddenly cheerleading a company only a few months ago you were making derogatory comments about for daring to build in the EU. Your hypocrisy is boundless. *-)

I hope their electric cars are built to a better standard than their previous rubbish. The only looks they have topped is for most faults and best depreciation. I would never buy any vehicle with 'Rover' on it and the electric ones will be the same.

I wouldn't have thought badge snobbery to be on your list of priorities. I've had two Rovers, a 1.6 and 2.0. The 1.6 gave very 'torquey' brilliant performance and excellent mpg......but it was a Honda K series engine. The 2.0 was a disaster with permanent oil leak, poor performance and mpg along with a rubbish heater that took half an hour to demist a windscreen. It wasn't Honda built engine.

That's what I mean by rubbish. Even the much vaunted Land Rover has big shortcomings when you load it up and give it some real work to do. They cannot compete with a Nissan or Toyota 4 x 4. I have driven all 3 in the Middle East and Africa, the Land Rover Defenders failed in all areas compared to the Japs.

Isnt it funny ... The haters wee themselves over posting about job losses and the fake concern they have for those who've lost their jobs ... Some of the haters even post about their green concerns ... So today we have great news about new green jobs and they have nothing positive to say ... The haters on here really , really do hate ... As if we didn't know ... Hypocrites each and everyone of em

its good news. I bet The Tories have given them a bung though. They must be crackers producing that here. Why? If they want to flog it into Europe or anywhere else for that matter it will face tariffs.

They will also need JIT continuous flow of parts so if that doesn't happen from day one, JLR will be off. Charging infrastructure is also another issue for British.....there are only 18,000 points in the entire country. Netherlands has 37,000 so UK gov needs to pull it's finger out as the automotive industry is way ahead of them. The other issue is battery production and JLR want large plants to produce low cost.

I bet it comes out there has been a bung. Even the Brexiteers own economists reckon Automotive is done because of Brexit. Dont get me wrong, Im pleased but it dont make much sense to me for all the above reasons.

I bet there will be someone along shortly saying something about "just believing" or "having faith" etc. *-)

It gave Pelmet a major orgasm when he found this little snippet about a company which only a few months ago he'd been sniping about for doing business in the EU. Now he's their chief cheerleader! Wonder if he's noticed yet their CEO is German? (lol)
