Time to get ready for the first battle of our war of Attrition with Remoaners booked for the 23rd of May B-) .........

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/09/labour-and-tories-reluctantly-prepare-for-european-elections

"And while Ukip and the Brexit party will essentially be competing for the same voters, the PR system means both could thrive. According to the poll, Farage’s organisation is on 10.3% support, with Ukip at 7.5%."

So chose your weapon ;-) ..........

Do you not think its time you Jihadi Brexiteers took a step back and a long look at yourselves? Your actually showing that really Britain is not worthy of being in a Union like the EU when your aim is to simply cause disruption within the organisation. How do you think that is going to help negotiations which will still be going on presumably or endear the UK to the rest of Europe? Like children who haven't got their own way smashing their own toys up in a paddy.

That's rich coming from a Remoaner *-) ..........

In a civil war any weapon will do >:-) ........

ARGUMENTS BREXITERS NO LONGER MAKE:

£350m a week for NHS

Turkey about to join EU

Parliamentary sovereignty (MPs = traitors obvs)

Boost for economy

Global, prosperous Britain (now not likely for 50 years at least)

ONLY ARGUMENT THEY STILL MAKE:

Will of the people 3 years ago

AND THAT HAS NOW CHANGED

After 2 and a half years of anti democratic Remoaner Bullsh*t ;-) ........

I doubt we need any more prompting to vote >:-) ........

But, but, but I thought the EU was undemocratic? How is it you can vote a representative in?

How? Because anything that Dave doesn't agree with is automatically called undemocratic. It can be a bit confusing - because a lot of things others think highly democratic still go into Dave's undemocratic bin! :-D

Not at all, Dave. Part of what Brexiters wanted was to have British laws made in our parliament, and judged in our courts, in accordance with our constitution.

Under our constitution, referendums can only be advisory, because it is "the Queen in parliament" alone who has the power to make legislative changes, or enter into or withdraw from international treaties, that impact on the population as a whole.

What you got was an undertaking from one political party that they would carry out the wishes of the electorate as indicated in a referendum. There was no detail as to what that meant. (There was no worked out plan for Brexit before the referendum, so there could not in any case have been any detail.)

One year later, several other parties (but not all) gave similar undertakings through their manifestos in the 2017 election. Parliament then voted to submit the famous Article 50 notification that Britain wanted to leave the EU, but still without a plan for doing so. I have no idea why this was done, but it was profoundly stupid.

What we are all now seeing is the consequence of a rash and ill-considered government decision that has got it, and parliament, right into the poo. It is a classic example of how wrong things can go if the initial decision isn't adequately thought through, coupled with a desire on the part of the government to grab all the limelight and the credit for delivering Brexit. In doing so they have turned a non-party hot potato into a very hot (Conservative) party potato, that they now want someone else to take off them.

What the referendum offered was a stupidly simplified choice that gave the impression that leaving would be a clean, quick, process. In truth it never could have been that simple and, as the past near three years have shown, it is undeliverable without substantial economic and geopolitical, damage to the UK and its international reputation. Even Oborne has now tumbled to that!

They are now stuck firmly on the horns of a dilemma of their own making. Do they risk damaging the UK economy and its international status by delivering Brexit, or do they find some pretext for abandoning Brexit that they hope will be accepted by that half of the voters who wanted Brexit?

Why do you think May is now "talking" to Corbyn, if not to get his fingerprints on the resulting mess, and why do you think Corbyn is going around after each meeting wiping the glasses clear of fingerprints?

At present Brexit, in legal terms, is undeliverable. They all know that, and that is why they are all fighting like cats in the proverbial sack (except a few who didn't vote for, or voted against, the referendum or the Article 50 notification, or have since escaped). Some still won't accept the position they have landed themselves in, and are pretending all will be OK if only...……………………….:-D, the rest have read the writing on the wall and are merely looking for a discreet escape route! Surely you can see that clearly enough - even if you don't like what you see.

I have been saying Brexit is a Unicorn for ages. It is self-evident to me. There is nothing remotely undemocratic in saying that and, if you want patriotism, it is, IMO, far more patriotic to try to persuade people away from a path of political and economic self-harm, than to acquiesce in delivering that harm to an entire population on the basis of the will of 26% of them.

Democracy requires those who win votes to consider the interests of the rest. If that is not done democracy doesn't work, because people lose confidence that it will treat them fairly. Democracy is not winner take all, it is winner shares the spoils. But with Brexit, there are no spoils to share. Who gains?

Those who take risks tend to die young. Some even make it into the Darwin club! Major achievement - not. :-D.

What is the special advantage of being dead? Those wo look at the risk, and then work out how to get around it or eliminate it, tend to live a lot longer, gain experience, and so get better at reaching their objective in one piece.

This idea that risk taking is some badge of masculinity amuses me, because most of those who think the risk takers are just endlessly lucky at Russian roulette (and should be imitated) don't have the wit to work out that the revolver has only a blank loaded. The successful risk takers have worked out how to skew the risk in their favour. If it isn't, they don't take it. Why do gamblers study form? To reduce the risk.

I suppose that someone who has led a risk free life will eventually purchase a motorhome and go off on big adventures ... to Europe. :D

No no. I did that to retire from taking suicidal risks. Mind you I didnt count on taking an ageing Peugeot Boxer Kontiki motorhome off the top off the highest road in Europe with brakes that are clearly made out of cardboard.

I'm not mocking the misguided followers, I'm mocking the lack of professionalism amongst the leaders of the party.

And its not just the domains they have cocked up on, has anybody else noticed that the Brexit Party's logo is literally an arrow pointing to the far right?

First thing i noticed when i saw it for the first time on BBC news this morning. Dark undertones there methinks. Faridge is trying to present himself as the Brexit 'saviour' and thinks cutting ties with Batten over his flirtations with Tommy TenNames is enough to distance himself from the far right.
