At the moment we have remain with a vote or with the May deal remain without one, I believe the country would be better off leaving as we were advised of by the government, vote leave and there'll be, no deals no going back.

None of that was what we were sold though. All the pro Brexit politicians were telling us in 2016 that we would not leave without a deal and that we would get a cracking deal as we hold all the cards! How many of them told us we would get all the same benefits we have now while still being able to leave and carve our own way? Leadsome, Hannon, Redwood, Smug, Johnson, Davies, all of them!

The penny does indeed need to drop as we now know that this is simply not the case. There can be no changes to the deal now. It is what it is and its awful. The one thing Brexiteers and remainers are united on is how awful the outcome is and leaving with no deal is now not really an option. So where does that leave us?

They may well have thought as it was in eu countries best interest to have a good deal all round we would get one .But the Eu hirachy was hell bent on making it painfull , to the detriment of all. Whether we are in or out the eu is still a crumbling failing organisation .

Your future (and mine) is in the hands of the populist movement. I doubt that the vote to Leave would have been so popular if the EU had got its act together. They remind me of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Theresa May should be taken to the Tower of London and tried for Treason. Hopefully, the people of Europe will restore order and save the UK (usually it is the other way round) and get shot of Drunker, Barmier and Tusk.

That was just Cameron who was a remainer trying to scare people into voting remain by stating it was a one off thing and being all dramatic. Where is he now? Who cares what he said, the rest of his pro Brexit party and the pro Brexit press were the ones people listened to about how we would get a great deal and keep all the benefits. Even all along that bottom of that video of Cameron it states he is confident we will get a great deal that works for Britain. Hows that gone then?

We are where we are now and the choices are now basically as I said. The worst deal in history that we will be tied to until all of us are long dead or remain. There seems to be a growing consensus in this thread that perhaps we can reform and change the EU but we cant do that from outside can we?

Seeing as the EU is in the Do Do.......I suspect we'd get offered a cracking deal as soon as we left with No Deal >:-) ..........

Dave. You still dont get it. If we leave we will be leaving with a deal that the EU is more than happy with as its completely in their favour. They would love us to sign it. Even if we did still manage to leave with no deal (not going to happen now) they have stated there will be no deals post crash out until we sign off the deal!

We couldn't do it from the inside the EU so we are where we are, its a pity those in parliament cant see it as clear or believe in Britain as much the peasant do :'(

Well according to some of your fellow Brexiteers on here we can influence the EU apparently now.

The problem with the "peasants" seeing clearly (They dont) and just "believing" is that just believing something is going to be great doesn't mean it is going to be. Thats whey we have a government, parliament and thousands of civil servants and experts who fortunately (For us) cant just rely on blind faith and belief that everything will be alright which is why (and rightly so) They will never sign off on a crash out no deal Brexit. Unfortunately the only game in town otherwise is just a damage limitation worst of both worlds deal that pleases nobody and is impossible to get out of.

It was always going to end this way because people "believed" and had blind faith in the cobblers they were spun in 2016.

Paul, how many British were ever actually interested in European parliament, elections, MEP's or EU related matters? Virtually nobody......IF they are honest. It was Farage constantly banging his anti-immigrant drum and the DM drip feeding xenophobia to the proles which got folk saying "yeah them foreigners have been 'stealing' all our jobs....it's the fault of the EU....they're to blame". It's always someone or something else to blame for their woes...never ever themselves. Funny that eh? None would ever admit, well actually they're doing hard manual work we don't want to do and we aren't going to do nursing because we'd have to do exams.

Bingo.....mission (almost) accomplished. All that was left was to challenge Cameron who swallowed the bait hook line and and sinker with barely a thought. The country has the benefit of three years of hindsight. We all now know the shenanigans which went on in the lead up to the referendum and irrespective of how you voted, it's not something anyone should be comfortable in proceeding with. I imagine there is much that has been suppressed but there is still more yet to surface. It's not a pretty picture at all.

BTW how many million live in Swindon? :-S ......

Just askin ;-) .......

Jeez.....when did you have your senility checked out? Are you seriously so thick you can't understand people commute to and from their work place? You're living in a time warp bubble of days of the cloth cap worker living on their employers doorstep which ended years ago. But when a major employer goes, then so do numerous other businesses not even connected.

Yep ;-) ...........and after 3 years of Doom & Gloom predictions ...........

The UK has the best employment levels since the 70's.......

Wages are growing at their fastest rate in 10 years.......

Our GDP is higher than Germany's.......

Keep on moaning LOSERS.......you're doing wonders for UKPLC and the Brexit Party (lol) (lol) (lol) ......

How many times is this now, both Pat and Brian have destroyed your ridiculous claims on this yet you keep coming back for more? You're a sucker for punishment aren't you?

Yeah wacky baccy Bullethead I'm sucker for punishment :D .........

So even allowing for demographic expansion 3 million commute into Swindon everyday? ;-) .........

It's no wonder the roads are so busy (lol) (lol) (lol) ........

So you still don't understand GDP? See that's the problem giving financial illiterates like you a vote.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)

And you'll be particularly pleased to see the EU included as a country.

So Mr Maths genius who's current GDP number is greater.......Germany's at 0 or the UK's 0.2? ;-) ........

Just askin :D ........

BTW that EU figure includes the UK gdp does it not? :D ............

So in 15 years we might catch up with Germany, fact is Germany has a much higher GDP than we do.

Well Socialist brain of Britain :D ..........

Their country is much bigger than ours and has a lot more people in it ;-) .........

Best you take your brain cell back to Corbyn HQ for another propaganda input :D ........

Ask for less Bullsh*t this time >:-) ......

Just sayin (lol) .......

So now you want to discuss GDP per capita? Well I'm pleased to inform you that Germany outstrips the UK by about £8500 per person.

So that's another statistic you've got wrong.
