First they hold an election but it turns out they are not as popular as they thought they were and there is clearly no mandate for a hard Brexit so they lose their majority and have to be propped up by the DUP with bribes, then moderate Tories start defecting and then they they chuck out a raft of experienced moderate Tories and now they are probably going to throw the DUP under the bus as well. They have done this to themselves. Had you appointed someone other than Johnson then you may have got an election. Trouble is the government is even more fcuked now as nobody, not even his own party can trust a word Johnson says.
