Barryd999
Just on yet another motorhome hunt (been looking for years) And came across this. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201908141151761?advertising-location=at_motorhomes&berth=6&price-to=45000&postcode=dl117hh&guid=4e66bf6c-45db-4d5c-90e2-7350655f3ec1&page=2&sort=distance&price-from=20000&radius=100 Anyone know what chassis its on or what the payload will be with the options of maybe upgrading it? I will want to fit our scooter and rack on the back. Ive emailed the seller but I bet they dont know. Cant find any info online.
Keithl
Hi Barry, This review of a 2008 690 HB by OAL quotes the Max weight as 3,500 kg so likely only a Light chassis. https://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/buyers-guide/motorhomes/details/a-690-hb/3928 Can you ask for a photo of the VIN plate of the one you're interested in to identify possibly via a Fiat agent? Keith. Edit. And here is a review of a 690 HS stating it is on a Heavy chassis so you may be OK... https://www.caravanguard.co.uk/news/eura-mobil-review-564/

Yes I found that OAL review shortly after I posted late last night. I have a feeling some time ago I discounted this model for that reason now you mention it however the review is for the 2.3l model and this is a 3l version and the second article you link to does indeed show a heavy chassis which I think will be 4 ton not 3.5 so maybe a payload approaching 600-700kg? Its a bit of an oddball really. Very tall. Looks ok though and I believe they are excellent build quality. Its with Motorhome Depot which I think are just local agents or something. I emailed the seller but so far no response.
Robinhood
It may just be me, but the pictures look like it has 15" wheels, which would make it the light chassis.

Barryd999
Ive remembered why I gave up last time. Eventually got an email from the "dealer". Could I call him. So I called him and asked the question. What chassis is it on and do you know the weights and available payload. His answer "How would I find that out"? (lol) "I would guess its a fiat". Put the phone down.
