..although if these benefit claimants let cameras into the home we are paying for it can't have been the Royal Family can it. >:-(

78 toilets in Buckingham Palace and paying visitors can't use any of them

So you don't have a problem with this bloke ? :-| .........

"Dad-of-three says he has 'no intention' of finding work as it's not in his 'psyche'"

My problem is with people who believe the quotes in the Daily Mail :D

Is this more believable? ;-) .........

https://metro.co.uk/2019/09/18/dad-refuses-get-job-not-psyche-10764027/

So do you think he should have the choice of living off benefits instead of getting a job? :-| .......

A simple yes or no will do >:-) .........

Thats another Daily Mail link.

Didn't you realise?

Do you think because they don't call it the Daily Mail it isn't the Daily Mail?

Like you believe Dictators who calls themselves Socialists are Socialists *-)

"Metro" is owned by the same £billionaire who is domiciled abroad to avoid tax. And conning you into voting Brexit to get us out of the EU before he is hit by an EU wide tax treaty. If people like that paid tax we could afford Care home fees for more people, European standard public services, roads, parking etc etc.

And if they didn't rig the housing market to raise rents that guy could probably afford to pay his own from his wages as a Yoga teacher. - Yes he does work. Housing benefits go to super rich landlords like the Duke of Westminster who avoided inheritance tax on £10 billion.

So who is really milking the system the most?

I take it that's a Yes? ;-) ...........

He isn't living off benefits.

His wages probably pay his living costs.

The benefits will be going to a landlord

Incredulous *-) ........

Its the truth so yes, after believing BoJo and what you read in the Daily Mail I suppose you would find the truth incredulous.

But its quite simple, and very common.

Wages often don't cover rents.

He's living off his wages and the housing benefits which come from our taxes are going straight to a parasite called a landlord.

So even those of us who own our home (and don't rent one out) are paying dearly for the housing crisis.

Why do you think our taxes are so high and our roads are so crap?

I've been mulling over John McDonalds speech at conference, as a landlord I might need to think about a change of policy. If Labour get in I will need to think about chucking out my present tenants (with two months notice) then getting DWP tenants in (I've had a few asking), this should ensure that I have tenants who have no interest in buying as gov covers their rents, that and the guarantee of paid care costs so I won't have any need to sell up if I go into home should work out well, every cloud has a silver lining.

until they take planning decisions away from Local Nimbys so we can start increasing housing supply and house prices and rent prices collapse.

I was trying to show you that Private Rents are higher than Council Rents in the hope you could then see who the biggest Parasites are.

Private rents are higher than council rents because the houses are not normally on council estates ;-) .......

You get what you pay for :-| .........

Then if that sunk in I was going to try to explain the Council have to take in money wherever they can including rent to pay it out in housing benefit to cover private rents that working people can't afford.

So what are you doing about it? >:-) .............

If you cared so much you wouldn't leave your house empty for months at a time would you?........

You're just a typical selfish Socialist ..

Actually I am a Free Enterprise Capitalist at least as far as the housing market is concerned. I don't agree with Government intervention in the housing market to restrict supply with whats been called the world's most onerous planning system whilst stoking up demand with taxpayer funded subsidies like so called 'Help to Buy' .The Tory Government is more Socialist than I am - their kind of Socialism is Socialism for the rich.

pelmetman - 2019-09-25 2:51 PM

So you are still making things up that you have no knowlege about. I claim no benefits, I pay for myself, and I pay for others through my taxes. I don't mind paying taxes to support those in need. But I do object to paying taxes to fund the care home fees of someone who can afford to pay for themself if they sell the house they no longer need - instead of leaving it to someone who hasn't earned it.

I also wonder what sort of offspring would want to put their own mum or dad in a substandard home at someone else's expense so they can inherit a property they haven't earned. And then try and present their own greed and selfishness as some sort of moral crusade 'Mum forced to sell her home' etc

Oh and Government intervention in the housing market to stoke up housing prices is making the Care Home Fees crisis worse. Councils have less money as they pay out more in Housing Benefits. Selfish Uncaring children are more keen to bung their mums into a cheapo council funded care home at my expense, so they can inherit a second property they have not earned >:-)

So is this just something else you made up yourself like your assertion that all Supreme Court Judges voted Remain?

Or is the BBC report wrong?
