sreve
Hi there My dometic rm7361 won't light on gas,12 and 240 volt are fine. When i turn on to gas the orange light immediately starts flashing and there is no clicking of the igniter. About 3 nights ago i was parked on a beach in spain and there was a hell of a gale and the fridge side of the van took the full force of the salt spray all night long. The fault however only started 3 days later. Does anyone think it's likely that the salt air has contaminated the electric terminals behind the fridge and that this has caused the problem? Any advice much appreciated.
weldted
If you can get at the burner from outside try lighting it from there whilst someone turns the igniter on, common problem is muck may blocking the jet and shielding it from the sparker. Billggski
Usually soot falling down the flue and blocking the jet. The wind could have disturbed the soot. Bottom right of the compartment behind the lower mesh screen. A metal wind guard in front of it. The jet is microscopic, so needs careful cleaning, don't use a pin! sreve
Thanks for the replies,do you think that soot etc blocking the jet would stop the the igniter working (because there is no clicking of the igniter to be heard.)
Keithl
If the igniter is not clicking then you have lost the 12 volt feed to the fridge. Has anything else stopped working? Check all the fuses in the hab fusebox. Keith.

sreve
Hi I've just cleaned all the terminals and the flue and given the gas jet a blow (so to speak!!!!) and the fridge now lights straight away and runs but the orange light keeps flashing. Any.ore thoughts???
Keithl
But are they live? Do you have a multimeter? If not may I suggest you get one, they can be got for less than a tenner from the likes of Screwfix or B&Q. eg https://www.screwfix.com/p/lap-mas830b-digital-multimeter-600v/75337 Keith. thebishbus
If the orange ignition light is still flashing when the fridge is working normally on gas, it could be that tip of the spark igniter is not in the correct part of the flame. Billggski
As I remember (not very well) there is a sensor next to the ignitor that checks that the flame is lit. It could be that that is misaligned.
Robbo
The ignitor on my 7 series fridge stopped working. Tracked it down to a bad earth on the bracket that holds the electrodes. From memory, the bracket is screwed to something - that's where it was corroded.
Billggski
Older ones have an earth wire, later ones earth through that screw (as I remember)
