John52
Germany built up a massive surplus whilst the Tories were building up a massive debt, and were busy sourcing Covid19 supplies whilst BoJo was asleep at the wheel. So now the German Army is donating 60 ventilators to Britain. Thanks Germany B-)

We could do with one the rate BoJo is racking up debt, especially if his pooper scoopers can't get us a refund on the duff testing kits he's bought, but we no longer have the strength of the EU like Italy :-S

John52
Many of those stranded abroad wishing they had a Government like Germany 'The UK has chartered just six flights via the EU crisis scheme, bringing 1,000 Britons home. Germany, in comparison, has organised 101 such flights through the programme, repatriating a total of 21,815 of its citizens with EU cash.' Yet again Britain just doesn't bother to make use of EU cash, then complains we are not getting our money's worth. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/apr/16/uk-flies-home-1000-britons-but-65000-left-in-limbo-by-covid-

Why are we not doing the same? My daughters boyfriend is stuck on a cruise liner (was working on it) in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico confined to windowless cabin for 22 hours a day, UK govt, doing nothing about it, despite countless emails etc. Its bloody criminal. There are plenty more out there who need bringing back as well.
747
Just how can the British Government get him off a ship in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico? Should we send a Gunboat? or maybe a Nuclear Sub? The main delays have been with the host Government, not the UK one.

Bring our folks home with EU money .. and start the lockdown earlier so less people die like in Germany, and we would be coming out of it now like Germany is We could be in a position to donate ventilators like Germany has to less well run countries like us... Ventilators that we are dying for the lack of whilst the Prime Minister apparently occupies one he never used. And yet we are still asked to believe we need to leave the EU come what may because he can run the country better *-) All because the British Government doesn't bother to claim our share of EU funds, then blames the EU because they are putting in more money than we get out.
