For now, don't worry about us as we don't care that only 52% of you have decided to leave.

Could it be that when you speak of my country only the mafia comes to your mind (please don't use capital letter) ?

Italy is not only the mafia, it is certainly a problem but do not think that it has not infected other nations, probably yours included.

There is the Italian mafia but also the Albanian or Bulgarian one. Not to mention the Chinese and Japanese ones.

Italy is it's culture, heritage, stunning towns, landscapes, tourism, brands, manufacturing.

A country where 70% of the population owns the house they live in, where 20% have a second home.

And it is first as savings and personal assets.

Can you say the same thing about your homeland ?

In addition to being offensive, what you claim is false.

Read less junk press.

How do you know it’s false?

This is a report from an Italian in Palermo.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/10/mafia-distributes-food-to-italys-struggling-residents

Do you mean the distribution of the food is offensive or the reporting of it, because you said previously you only read official government reports so do they not report it?

I read could, would, might.

In any case:

- I have not denied that the problem exists.

I just said that when you talk about my country you are constantly referring to the mafia and only that.

What do you know about my country?

- when I spoke of official documents it was related to the roadmap established by our government and discuss certain news about our alleged delays. Laws, decrees, measures, not fake news.

P.S. It would have been interesting if, as you now read the negative news about continental Europe, at the time of the referendum on Brexit and the recent elections you had read what the continental newspapers wrote about the benefits that the United Kingdom has gained from being in the Community. But maybe you didn't.

In any case I don't care, the decision was yours and I respect it.

Ok Max so you agree it’s true and not as you say just in the junk press. I’ve only mentioned this once before but you decided not to answer my question. Italy is a lovely country, I’ve been going there since 1958 so have seen quite a lot of change. Queries about how the Italian Government is dealing with cv19 is not criticism but a needed comparison with the UK and the rest of Europe. It’s good that you are happy with the EU because you are going to need it’s full support. Whether you get or not is another question.

Most of the news we read about the EU was negative because;

1) Our Government blamed the EU for its own failures

2) Our popular newspapers are owned by £billionaires domiciled in tax havens, who are afraid that an EU wide tax treaty will make them pay tax. So they want us to leave the EU before that happens.

Er...no..we want to leave.

So why did the majority vote for parties that support a second referendum?

So why didn't that majority vote for the one party that said they would stay in the EU? ;-) ........

Not very bright that majority are they? (lol) (lol) (lol) ..........

You never did understand tactical voting did you? Sadly the obsession with Brexit in the northern heartlands and red wall was too much. A decision many will live (or not) to regret.

"The losers" as you like to refer to anyone who didnt vote for Brexit or the ToryKipper party understood tactical voting it would seem as the majority of the electorate voted for parties supporting a second referendum or no Brexit. You only had to vote Tory and our system saw Johnson get an 80 seat majority with pretty much the same number of votes the Sainted Theresa got in 2017.
