Of course it can be solved. All that’s needed is a solution.

With two implacably opposed sides, each with access to weapons, who have fought multiple wars and continue to attack each other at will, and a UN which has no capacity to impose and sustain a solution either, I fear that is a vain hope.

Quite right that we currently have two opposing sides dead set against each other. Both think that the solution is for the other side to either give in or go away.

That's not going to happen.

The people who suffer for it are the moderates on both sides of these kinds of disputes.

( It's a bit like the raving right and loony left in lots of other places ).

We do have opposing sides, but they are not equal. One side has an Army,Navy and Airforce backed up materially and financially by the Americans. They control the boarder and coast line of Palestinians land, they control the taxi and social funding of the Palestinians, they ignore human rights of the Palestinian’s and ignore U.N. resolutions regarding stealing land. The Palestinian’s have some rudimentary rockets, and firearms. Apart from other countries giving them their verbal support, what have they got to negotiate with ?

The only thing that matters to the Israeli’s is loss of their lives from armed conflict.

So if Annexation goes ahead Israeli’s will get attacked.
