"Moving over there" - past tense.

"(and here when you have paid for our tunnel to Ireland and we both join the EU )" - what might happen going forward.

So I provided a list of companies which have "moved over there", it is not possible to currently list companies which may move to Scotland in the future.

So just own up and admit you got it wrong. Again.

I don't think you have actually looked at the list you posted if you did you would see that most of them are out of date a large amount of them are expanding their operations into the EU not leaving the UK or closing down and some of them are repeated several times also some have been taken over by other producers.

Since Brexit some EU companies have expanded their operations into the UK some have also expanded their presence in the UK so not all doom and gloom.

Another Brexit "benefit". The apologists will be along spouting the usual drivel about how much better off these folk will be after losing their jobs and homes. *-)

Funny how not one of them has the courage to meet the workforce and tell them how they're going to be better off with Brexit after they've lost their jobs and homes.

And another one packs up and ships out. A Sussex pharmaceutical company has told how it had to bundle a production line into a white van and take it to Amsterdam to beat a Brexit medicines ban.

The impromptu four-wheeled mission to the Netherlands has secured the supply of the asthma drug Ventolin for France, where the company, Mediwin, had a huge order book.

“Our production manager hired a van and took five machines – which was essentially one production line – to the Netherlands. He got the line up and running. We’ve rented an apartment and got six people working over there now. And so far we’ve hired 15 people in the Netherlands and they want another 10 or 11.”

Production lines in Littlehampton are now at near standstill while assembly ramps up in the Netherlands. Further expansion will take place in Spain and other EU countries. “I’ve got about 70 people at the moment who I’ve had to ask to half their hours,” she said. “It has been horrible, absolutely horrible.”

Cooke said Mediwin was being forced to lay off 45 people in the UK. “We were going to invest in a site in the UK a couple of years ago we we needed to expand. That £2m investment has gone to Spain."

The truth will out ;-) ..........

Last month McBride announced plans to shut its manufacturing facility in Park Road with a potential loss of 106 jobs – a move described by business and political leaders as a significant blow to Barrow.

***It blamed the move on a fall in demand for the laundry powders manufactured at the site, with the detergent market shifting toward liquids.***

***While McBride is not expanding on its initial statement, it is understood that Brexit was not, directly, part of the reasoning behind the realignment of the company’s manufacturing footprint “in order to remain competitive” that led to the decision.***

The truth will out ;-) ..........

Last month McBride announced plans to shut its manufacturing facility in Park Road with a potential loss of 106 jobs – a move described by business and political leaders as a significant blow to Barrow.

From a article December 2019 - you know when it was all project fear?

Jobs have now gone to France. Well done you.

But even from a 14 month old article here are the bits you missed out, can't think why.

Risings costs fuelled by Brexit uncertainty will be a factor in the proposed closure of household cleaning products firm McBride’s Barrow factory, a business leader has claimed.

Rob Johnston, chief executive of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said the weakness of the pound since the EU referendum in 2016 had dealt a blow to the business – as well as the shift in consumer preferences that McBride bosses have said led to the shock decision.

But Mr Johnston believes the ripple effect of Brexit uncertainty was a factor.

“Sterling weakness has affected many businesses that depend on imported goods or raw materials, but some are better able to pass on higher costs by raising their prices.

It’s businesses like McBride – that are part of complex, highly-competitive supply chains – that are suffering most from prolonged Brexit uncertainty,” he added.

Wow! I thought they knew what they were voting for. Its like rats deserting the sinking ship which leaves the question, when all these jobs and companies have buggered off to Europe and everyone is on the dole, who is going to pay off Johnsons massive amount of debt?

Personally I think it should be the Brexiteers.
