Coz the EU's scientists were proved WRONG.......and Boris's boffins were proved RIGHT >:-) .........

...

Correction : They are " our " ( i.e. UK ) scientists - they are not Boris's.

I expect most of them are people that you normally despise, as they have been to university.

;-)

Do I despise Boris? ;-) ...........He's been to university :D .........

So you have made Boris an exception to your usual rule.

So what ?

(?)

I always make winners exceptions to my usual rules Malc ;-) ........

I have no use for whiners *-) .........

Irish hauliers no longer need Covid test.....but drivers from Britain will still need test.

https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2021/0305/1201203-hauliers-testing-france-ireland/

DFDS latest;

The seemingly relentless demand for Ireland-France freight ferries has spawned yet another service. On April 1st, DFDS will run a 4th freight ferry on its Rosslare – Dunkirk route.

The new freight ferry serving the route is DFDS’ “Ark Dania”, which has a capacity of 188 truck units (including 12 driver accompanied units and 176 unaccompanied units/trailers).

DFDS say the direct service is favoured by haulage companies and industry alike, as it “avoids the delays, border checks and complicated paperwork that come with using the UK as a land-bridge.”

DFDS adds that on arrival in Dunkirk or Rosslare, the drivers are “fully rested and can continue driving immediately to reach many major destinations within the rules for driving limits.”

Unlike the AZ contact which the EU signed before the UK, in this case the EU where couple of months behind, But I would guess the reasons for delay are the same as AZ, the UK has clauses which could mean the company lose money, whilst the EU contract only delays payment.

According to reports J&J is 'facing unexpected delays in the manufacturing of its vaccine and may not be able to supply as many doses it promised', and that includes the US, Canada and UK. It's not just the EU who will be affected.

We can start celebrating when the world is vaccinated......until it is, it's pointless.

Well now Pelmethead has had his Anglo-Swedish jab, perhaps he'll join me in celebrating the Labour led coalition that blocked Pfizer's takeover of AstraZeneca in 2014 when the Tories were trying to force it through.

True colours...

The Guardian: Raab summons EU official as anger grows over UK vaccine export claims.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/mar/09/raab-summons-eu-official-as-anger-grows-over-uk-vaccine-export-claims

More lies and excuses from the EU.

There is an easy way to prove that it is a lie.

Publish the data on how much has been exported and where.

Not quite that simple, just because there have been no exports doesn't mean there is a 'export ban', but when you consider AFAIK a component of Pfizer is made in UK, then if there is a 'ban' of vaccine parts what would that achieve? as we don't manufacture the final product.

HIs tune is changing...

In a tweet late Tuesday, Michel did not repeat his prior allegation of an “outright ban” on vaccines, nor did he retract it or apologize, but instead angled to claim credit for potentially provoking the British government into being more transparent about its rules on exports of coronavirus vaccines and medications.

"Glad if the UK reaction leads to more transparency & increased exports, to EU and third countries," he wrote.

But he also noted “different ways of imposing bans or restrictions on vaccines/medicines,” backtracking from his original unequivocal accusation in favor of a more muddled complaint.

Just a good job that the Labour party and others intervened five years ago so that there was still a company there to invest in.

And you seem to be forgetting the foresight the EU had with its support of BioNTech in 2018?

Obviously the EU's 2018 investment isn't paying dividends like Boris's 2020 investments >:-) ........
