Am I thick?

I'm looking to replace the rear cluster light plastic cover for our 2020 Peugeot Boxer van conversion which I broke.

I emailed someone on E bay to see if the ones he has advertised would fit mine. His answer was, check the OEM numbers in the adverts description to see if they are a match with yours, if so, it will fit.

Sorry for being dim but what does he mean by OEM numbers and how do I check them on the advert and on mine?

Appreciate a bit of help and a few brains maybe.

Take your old broken light off and it will almost certainly have the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part number moulded into the rear.

Keith.

...or on a stick-on label.

AFAIK, the post-2014 Sevel van has only had a single variant of rear light cluster fitted (the Fiat parts list at least only shows one), so I suspect anything listed as fitting post 2014 will be OK, even on a Peugeot.

(And, the Fiat OEM part numbers are 1380673080 and 1380672080 for LH and RH respectively)

The risk is being sent a rear light that is suitable for the ‘wrong’ side of the vehicle.

This link is to a Coastal Motorhomes advert for a Magneti Marelli rear light

https://coastalmotorhomes.co.uk/fiat-ducato-peugeot-boxer-citroen-relay-o-s-rear-light-250-1380672080.html

and its obvious from the photo that the light-unit is for the right hand side of the vehicle (UK ‘offside’ or UK ‘driver’s side’).

The potential problem comes when an advert actually relates to LHD vehicles and uses ‘driver’s side’ or ‘passenger side’ to describe the light.

But if the 1380672080 OEM number is used, this should identify the correct light for Pee’s motorhome.
