Delfy
Help please. Has anyone got the co ordinates for Camping Chartres. Can’t seem to find them in ACSI book this year. We know it’s not the best of sites but it is handy for a visit to the Cathedral. Thanks Delfy

laimeduck
When we visited there a couple of years ago the chap on reception was a grumpy old git .... most unfriendly! Still on ACSI list at 18€ https://www.campingcard.co.uk/france/centre/eure-et-loir/chartres/campsite-les-bords-de-leure-103710/ Jeremy

I agree it's a bit hit and miss, and due to easy public access has a bit of a poor security reputation but, Chartres is a pleasant wander from the site, the old city is pleasant, and the cathedral is magnificent. candapack
Last time we were there, there was a flea market on the site on the Saturday. Think the same grumpy guy was on reception. But generally, a good location, handy for the town/Cathedral, facilities were pretty good as I recall.

Geeco
Last time we were there the Hilton hotel near the cathedral had a 2* Michelin restaurant at very reasonable rates. Food was excellent. Cheers
