Windsurf1
Hi, has anyone any experience of finding a company which can supply and erect, if necessary, a Motorhome shelter? I've got a concrete base and envisage a free standing construction either with a polycarbonite roof of a pvc tent shelter. Thanks for any replies. Chipster
Something like this any good? https://torsteelbuildings.com/project/steel-campervan-motorhome-storage/
Tracker
By freestanding do you mean unattached to the ground - not a good idea for for a large flat area? If you mean car port type thingameejob - any decent builder or upvc conservatory etc type or garden pergola contractor should be able to do this to a strong enough specification? rajohno
A neighbor of mine built his own to store his Hiab in (he does gutters and roofing which is handy!) he built it with scafold poles and corrugated sheet cladding, it has stood up to some of the worst storms. ColinM50
How about a large garden gazebo type structure? Dunster House have some good products but they won't be high enough but that's not insurmountable, they'd supply longer legs. Or fabric type gazebos. just founf these people https://www.mynewgazebo.co.uk/product-category/gazebos/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwt-6LBhDlARIsAIPRQcKVRytelrgAlBQJWTJwhG3Lt1R4CLo0br4HKxPZji_PhBD-lUlvce8aAmAjEALw_wcB but I'd be worried about wind. or as someone already said, any competent builder could build one for you
Tracker
ColinM50 - 2021-10-29 9:15 AM but I'd be worried about wind. May I suggest a change of diet Colin - often a good cure for excess wind! Looks like Windsurf has been blown away by the responses!
ColinM50
It's not the diet Tracker, it's the wine :'( 8-)
Windsurf1
Thankyou for the replies and links. After many false leads concerning the height, 3 meters +. I found a company that specialise in garden log cabins etc. "Quick-Garden Co. Very flexible as to sizes etc, more of a Dutch Barn construction as I already have a concrete base. Basically a pitch roof supported on 8 pillars. All wood just under 4 meters overall height to keep planning authorities off my back! Options to enclose sides. Hope all goes to plan! 8-) Thanks again for the useful comments. Cheers J C
