No they don't. Go on provide your link again so we can all have a chuckle at your inability to comprehend basic English. Use your finger and read it very slowly ;-) .......... "Data on 14-day notification rate of new COVID-19 cases and deaths" https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/publications-data/data-national-14-day-notification-rate-covid-19 I refer the dishonourable (still promoting something he has been shown to be wrong) gentleman to the answer I gave him in September So you still want to demonstrate your stupidity? Because your basic English is so bad you think that "14-day death notification rate per 1 000 000 inhabitants for the reporting period" means that the EU is only reporting deaths where a positive covid test was received in the previous fourteen days AND NOT the twenty eight days the UK uses? Except, as any fool knows, it actually means the number of deaths reported in the fourteen day reporting period. By way of example Public Health England reports on a seven day rolling basis, but that doesn't mean we have moved away from the "positive test within twenty eight day of death". https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases So do the EU "NOT" count only those that have proved positive in the previous 14 days in their totals? ;-) ......... No. They report the number of deaths that have occurred in the last 14 days, nothing to do with the time since the deceased tested positive. Just like we report the number of DEATHS IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS that had a positive test within the last 28 days - which by your flawed logic would mean that we are reporting only the half the deaths the EU is reporting. CurtainRaiser
Well as you have been active on other threads but haven't responded here I think we can all see that you have conceded the argument and now accept that your English comprehension and hatred of anything with EU in the title led you to misinterpret the information. By the way, if you've lost the argument, technically that would make you a LOSER.

Its not me making the claim, well its not a claim those are the figures and facts. The way things are going here I dread to think what winter will be like. Covid infections are spreading like wildfire here and the government has deliberately sent out the wrong message yet again and lifted too many restrictions. Why on earth when infections are so bad is it no longer a legality to wear a face covering indoors in shops etc? Going by last winter, it didnt exactly go well did it? I wonder why that was? Oh yeah, silly me. Dither and delay Johnson.

John52
why not travel back to London from Cop26 by train, a comfortable journey of four and a half hours? This was not possible, No 10 said, because of “time restraints”. On Thursday, the reason for Johnson’s haste became clear. The Mirror reported Johnson had flown back to London to attend a reunion of Daily Telegraph journalists at the men-only Garrick Club. He was pictured emerging from a dinner with Charles Moore, his old boss, whom Johnson recently made a Tory peer. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/nov/05/bit-like-a-clown-boris-johnson-makes-impression-cop26
