Given the size of the fan the device must use, I wouldn’t imagine that on the high fan setting it would be ‘quiet’. It may be bearable on the low speed setting though. colin Posted March 12, 2022 Share Posted March 12, 2022 I've seen these advertised on satellite channels for some time, the adverts are bull, and looking at the website in OP that's bull as well. I've just looked on Amazon reviews for these type of heaters, save your money and possibly save your life, don't buy one. Geeco Posted March 13, 2022 Share Posted March 13, 2022 My MH has reverse cycle aircon however first thing on a cold winter morning I found it too noisy. I purchased a small fan heater an the noise is no where near as loud as the aircon. As you can see from the box image it has two settings, 1000 & 2000 watt settings.. it also has a cutoff switch if it is tipped over. I paid A$15 (£8'50) at a local hardware store. The TrustPilot "Orbisheater" review is 99% NEGATIVE https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/orbisheater.pro Even if this heater (and its clones) were less comprehensively criticised, its 500W maximum output will almost certainly be inadequate for heating a motorhome (even a dinky little Elddis Majestic 120). I used to use a 2-decades-old 1000W/2000W upright fan heater with a large-diameter quiet fan and - in cold weather on campsites - ran it throughout the night on the 1000W setting. I also had one of these https://www.toolstation.com/2kw-upright-fan-heater/p62624 as a more modern backup. (I bought this from Screwfix as it was unboxed and the asking-price was an unmissable £6.) The Russell Hobbs RHFH1008 ceramic-element heater suggested by witzend looks good (for the right price) and there's a RHFH1006B 750W/1500W version https://mda.russellhobbs.com/default/1-5kw-ceramic-black-portable-upright-fan-heater.html that should be buyable new for about £20 and might be preferable for non-UK campsites having very low amperage 230V hook-ups. There's a Daewoo 400W heater that can be obtained pretty cheaply https://www.iceland.co.uk/p/daewoo-400w-digital-plug-in-heater/77080.html though I'd want something with a bit more ooomph for when the weather was cold.
