paul.robinson Posted October 10, 2022 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Hi, I've recently purchased a converted campervan. It's fitted with two leisure batteries, solar panel, and a Sargent EC160 PSU. My question is (possibly) a simple one. Will the unit automatically charge the batteries while driving, or do i need to switch on the "Battery Charger" switch. Keithl Posted October 10, 2022 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Paul, You can download an instruction book for the EC160 from the Sargent website... https://sargent.zohodesk.eu/portal/en/kb/articles/ec160-power-control-system But pretty certain the 'Battery Charger' switch only turns on/off the mains powered battery charger within the unit. Do you have a multimeter to measure the leisure battery voltage before and after starting the engine? That would be the quick test that your split charge is working. Keith.
