"the entire EU parliament" does have a lot of staff you know . Thousand and thousands on the payroll . One believes it costs a lot, lot more than our very own House of Lords and one doesnt need the "Tory press" to confirm it either . With the Tories in power for the last 12 years they have been winning. To the point that if Starmer tries to out do them he would have to appoint so many of his own cronies they would need to double its already absurd population? As the worlds second largest legislature of unelected members after Chinas Politburo many people question its purpose. Its archaic and horrendously expensive to maintain. However there does need some form of external body independent of government to keep them in check and agreeing laws.
