Piraeus port overnight parking

Spirou, no experience but a google search shows "Camping Athens" about 15 minutes drive from the port. An experienced free/wild camper friend often parked in a quiet street in an industrial part of town if he arrived into a city late. Good luck, cheers,

The only ones I can find are these:

1. https://www.campercontact.com/en/greece/piraeus-regional-unit/pireas/30396/parkopolis-port-parking (note: the site listed in the info is wrong)

also reported in campingcar-infos https://www.campingcar-infos.com/Francais/cci.php?number=26191

I assume you arrive by ferry, if not I don't see why you would go to Piraeus.

Yeah, found the first option but it closes automatically at 22 and we'd be arriving off the ferry past midnight. Second might work. Or simply some quiet street, we've done those before.

Alternatively we might be taking a ferry that will avoid Athens altogether. Seems to be cheaper even though it's 3x the length.

  • 1 month later...

Ultimately decided on a small parking area around Votsalakia beach and its sports compound. Relatively quiet after most of the partying ended (Piraeus was busy at 1am!)

In the morning realized parking areas around the marina and olympic stadium would have been just as fine or better.
