Lenard
Hi, As the title suggests, my motor home has developed a squeak when I touch the brakes, gets a bit louder if i have to hold the brakes on. the noise disappears as soon as I take my foot of the pedal. Any ideas as to the cause?. Len/Em

Lenard
Before the new web I was Earthmover, But when tried to log in, it kept saying user name and pass word was already in use. so i entered it backwards, re, Em. The motor home is a Fiat Ducato 2019 Elddis Chatsworth. Sorry for the confusion.
Keithl
Thanks for the clarification Len, One possible cause of the noise is delamination of the pads friction material from the metal backing plate. My suggestion would be to take the wheel off and remove the pads for inspection. Keith.

Yes, the wheel DEFINITELY needs to be removed to check the condition of the brake pads and brake disk and the operation of the brake caliper. cid
HI, before dismantling van, give the wheel a good blast with a hosepipe to dislodge any build-up of brake dust caused by recent dry spell. All the Best, Ian.
