Rodders7777
With many sites offering a ‘Fully serviced pitch’ or even a stand-pipe adjacent to the pitch, does the following seem like a cheap and simple and easy way to directly connect my Moho to the system? (Please don’t say, ‘Why bother?’ With grey waste into the drain, longer showers are go and no need to shout ‘Oi’ if someone turns the tap on for more than 2 seconds! ‘ Would this work? 1 Install an isolating valve DOWNSTREAM of the pump to isolate it (Thereby preventing damage from back-pressure!) and then keep the pump 12v supply turned OFF. 2 My van has an outside shower connection - use this as the water INPUT point to the water system… 3 Ensure the supply to this from the stand-pipe, comes via a pressure reducer, set to match the Moho’s system - say, 25psi. Hey presto - on demand water!!! The cost would be minimal - under £40! What do you think? PS PS if anyone’s worried about failure of the PR valve, and blowing the taps/connections, fit a safety valve down stream! Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Rod. This sounds OK in principle to me. In the 2016 forum thread linked to below, see my posting of February 1 and Geeco's posting of February 2 (on the 2nd page). https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/topic/37724-motorhome-mains-water/
davidmac
Hi, you can tap into mains water and have unlimited cold water but the amount of hot water you have sets the amount of time you can spend in the shower, yes? Regards David
