Thule Omnistor 6200 slipping when winding in

Recommended Posts

Back again...

Our Thule Omnistor 6200 has just started slipping when it's being wound in. It does still wind in but slips a few times almost like a cog has worn or broken and seems to be getting worse.

I haven't looked inside it yet, just thought I'd ask and see if anyone else has experienced this.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks for the input.

The winder completely failed on us with the awning out at a campsite!

Managed to get the old winder/gears off, manually wound the awning in with a pair of monkey grips and replace failed gears to hold it in place. Have now replaced with a new set and it's working fine.

Will endeavour to take apart the old gears at a later date and update here.

Hi

My apologies, this is the only section I could see on your previous post initially,
