PSHORT Posted May 14, 2008 Share Posted May 14, 2008 Has anyone had the experience of towing a medium size car eg Astra(weight 1413kg) on an A-Frame behind a High Top(eg new 3litre MURVI MORELLO) with a GVM of 3500kg and a GTM od 5800kg. colin Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I'll post so you know your not being ignored ;-) You might get an answer but I dought it (go on prove me wrong someone) I would guess most PVC owners like myself choise them because they are almost as easy to drive around as car so no real need to tow a car, unless you go to track days, but then you wouldn't want 'A' frame gubbings bolted to front of track car. I tow a toyota yaris ( 1200kg ) and when I come back from Spain it has 100 lts of wine in it so it weighs quite a bit. Towing is no problem. I do have the low ratio 5 gear which helps. We would only use it on occasions when in say the west country for staying in one spot for a week or so wanting to use the small country lanes.
