harryajh
on a Chausson Welcome 717GA really shaky on electrics so though best to ask here so, got a broken marker light on rear near-side. I've bought a new one but the black and white wires have spade connectors and the junction thing (?) doesn't. So, is it correct/safe to cut both wires above the junction thing and just above the new light's spade connectors, twist the wires together and wrap with insulation tape? thanks in advance
weldted
Use a bullet crimp connector, you can get the from Halfords. Then you need to seal them with self amalgamating tape to keep moisture out. Check you have the wires the correct way around, if it’s an led light it won’t work else
Keithl
Harry, My suggestion would be to solder and heatshrink the connection to reduce the risk of water ingress and corrosion of the wires. Keith.
