Fiat Ducato Autotrail 632

Hi Ken,

We also have a Cheyenne 632, ours is 2004 vintage, what year is yours?

If yours is the same as ours then unfortunately the entire rear panel is one piece from the joint up on the roof right down to near ground level! What look like horizontal joints between the reflectors and rear lights are actually only moulded in detail and are not joints.

I think your best option is to find a body shop experienced in fibre glass repairs, what area of the country do you live in to try and get some recommendations?

Keith.

The image attached below is taken from an advert for a 2013 Auto-Trail Apache 632 (I assume it's an Apache model you have) and I've arrowed in green the panels the left one of which I understand you have damaged.

Given the age of your motorhome, you MIGHT still be able to get a replacement corner-moulding via an Auto-Trail dealership. However - as Keith has advised - you might be better researching having the damaged panel repaired.

This 2019 forum thread discussed damage to the rear corner-panel of a 2014 Apache 700 that I believe has the same rear end as your 632.

I don't know where you live, but if there are boat-related businesses near you, you might try seeing what they can do repair-wise as they are likely to be used to be working with plastic materials.

There's also a company at Canvey Island, Essex that specialises in addressing the type of damage you've referred to.

Thanks for updating with the year of your 632.

Have you tried contacting AutoTrail Spares Department to ask about supplying a replacement? If you do make sure you have your AT build number to hand.

I noticed that, in your original enquiry, you had said it was "the n/s rear panel" that was damaged, but by then I had already posted the image with a pair of green arrows and I couldn't be bothered to remake the image to remove the off-side arrow.

Suggest you see if this Peterborough company can help.
