  1. They don't need cameras - they just use 'Parking Enforcement Officers' who know whether or not you have paid by comparing your reg no to the online record. What amuses me about Cornwall is that you can drive quite some distance up a single track and, when you eventually reach a beach, you are faced with a paying car park. Not a very hospitable county.
  2. Another little regulation to overcome would be "If you bring your vehicle back to the UK untaxed you cannot drive it back into the UK - it’ll have to be transported and a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) must be made straight away."
  3. It's just the same way as you get to Carnegie Hall......practice! Gentle acceleration and avoid the temptation to back off when it starts to move. A spotter outside is useful but they have to move their arm only when they want you to stop, avoiding a tentative up/down.
  4. I also use Nextbase although I only have a front-facing one.
  5. I agree. Much of it was obviously staged.
  6. For some reason, MMM has only now caught up with this recall which was actually made in August 2021.
  7. The OP mentioning about the space in the engine bay reminded me of when a friend and me (in our late teens) stood inside a Morris Minor engine bay on either side of the engine and just lifted the engine out for reconditioning.

I would tend to use a brand or a supplier that I trusted and source the cheapest version of that. I bought a 10 litre canister from Leclerc in France last week.
  9. I notice that the Riva Bella isn't opening until 5 July. Can anyone recommend another site that's convenient for ferries?
